United Services Secures Contract with Korean Airlines for Repair and Overhaul of Boeing 777 Landing Gear

Contract Continues Long-term Relationship Between United Services and Korean Airlines

CHICAGO, IL - OCTOBER 5, 2006 - United Services, the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) division of United, today announced that it has secured a contract with Korean Airlines to provide complete MRO services for the airline's Boeing 777 landing gears. The overhauls will take place at the United Services Maintenance Center in San Francisco, beginning in October 2006.

"Since 2001, we have provided a broad range of services for Korean Airlines, including PW4090 engine maintenance, 777 APU repair and line maintenance," says Bill Norman, senior vice president, United Services. "This contract is a testament to the strength of that relationship and to the expertise of our world-class Landing Gear Center. Our employees are extremely enthusiastic about customer work, and they played a key role in helping to secure this contract.

United Services' 40 years of experience in landing gear overhaul includes extensive skill with the B777. As the launch customer for the aircraft type, United Services was the first in the industry to perform a B777 landing gear overhaul and has since performed more than any other MRO provider in the industry. The United Services San Francisco facility is equipped to handle B737, B757, and B777 gear overhauls.

"We trust United Services' experience and skill, and we have complete confidence in their quality," says Mr. Koh, general manager-Purchasing, Korean Airlines. "We look forward to continuing our relationship with United Services for many years to come."
