United Services Launches Line Maintenance Network
Executive Air, JET Aircraft Maintenance, Jett Care and Pegasus Aircraft Maintenance Join United Services Line Maintenance Network
CHICAGO, IL - AUGUST 18, 2005 - United Services, United's aircraft maintenance division, has formed a first-of-its kind strategic network with four industry-leading fixed-base operators (FBO) - Executive Air, JET Aircraft Maintenance, Jett Care and Pegasus Aircraft Maintenance - to expand its line maintenance capabilities from the current 31 airports to more than 50 airports worldwide.
The United Services Line Maintenance Network provides customers with a broader range of airport locations where routine line maintenance services can be conducted, and offers enhanced access to United Services' Global Emergency Maintenance ( GEM ) services. The network also gives customers access to routine and non-routine services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including emergency aircraft on the ground ( AOG ) recovery, engine changes, sheet-metal repair, and a wide variety of other mechanical and ground-handling services.
"With this new marketing agreement, we can serve more customers at more locations around the world by offering an expanded one-stop-shopping experience," said Greg Hall, senior vice-president - United Services. "This new service will include the high-quality line maintenance United Services is known for, joined with the local experience and skilled capabilities of our network's new providers."
With the addition of these four quality fixed-base operators, the United Services Line Maintenance Network will offer customers service at more than 50 airports worldwide to handle their line maintenance needs. The network agreement facilitates United Services' referral of routine work, such as daily checks and engine changes to the FBO providers at new stations, while United Services serves as the primary source for FBO network members to call for extraordinary services that can be handled by the GEM teams.
